Hey everyone! Si-k recommended me to make my own thread here, so here it is I do not speak french, only english or finnish, so please post in english I can take any critique, so give me your best! I will try to update this as often as possible.

So heres a compilation of my most recent works:

i like your stuff, nice volume and light, my favourite one is the gecko,
for the critics, i would say maybe you could try to use more colors
in your compositon, they are often mono or bi-chromatic scheme,
the second would be about the composition, often central, the subject is just in the center of the illustration as if you croped the image so it's less dynamic, anyway good job, keep on posting

Great work, you really are a talented one!
I love your atmospheres, reminds me of some animation movies backgrounds. The last one's stunning, love your colour scheme, it's above the rest on that point.
I'm curious, are there any studies among the whole work you presented here ?

Hey thanks everyone, you rock! I was at a finnish rock/metal festival a few days ago, it was kick ass! Heres a newest one i came up with this morning. 0981, yes i sometimes do some studies, but ive had no interests to do any for a while

nice, nice, nice...
Love the color atmosphere of the pirate picture.
The last one hat seems quirky ; the feathers remind me of the wings on Asterix' helmet while the hat itself looks like Indiana Jones' one. This creates an interesting picture. Maybe Mercury's daughter ?

One things make me feel "dubitative" about your work ( I don't know if it would be the right expression ^^) It's the general composition of your image , your character , Trees are may be too centered .
Except the old car , all your element are exactly at the center of your composition , it result an impression of documentary works , focused on one element .

Haha thanks notnot, i dont know what i had in mind when designing the hat, i do this every time, designing as i go : D Bombadil thanks for your insight, youre totally right, hope this newest one brings some difference :P I made this in about 2 hours, while listening to some good doom metal from finland (though they sing in russia)

O_o i wasn't expecting this kind of work when you said you were listening some doom metal
By the way this one is really nice , looks like a study , i think you could use some hard brush work to define a bit better some edges, the rendering is very good but still a bit smooth for metal material

nice work so far (the girl face is nice but think it missing a bit of volume in the shadowed area it make it looks like flat a bit , but i like the rendering , remind me some ZhangLu portraits


oh it's in French , but if you want there is a weekly contest open , the theme this week is "werewolf" just have to send the link of you illustration to me by PM before sunday midnight , nothing to win, just for fun, and no special brief , i'll try to make futur themes in english also if any of you english speakers wanna participate ^^

Wow massive update here , the one with the tree is stunning , veryyy nice , love also you old guy .

Some have still some minor anatomy issues like the last girl for exemple , maybe proportions problem , cannot say exactly what but something is off !

That the biggest problem with anatomy , that doesn't allow minor issues or it soon looks odd , i got the same problem !!
